Located in the vibrant heart of Kuching, Sarawak, Xin Fu Zhou Cafe is a delightful haven for food enthusiasts looking to indulge in authentic Foochow cuisine. This charming café captures the essence of local flavors, making it a must-visit for both locals and travelers alike. With its cozy atmosphere and a simple yet inviting decor, Xin Fu Zhou Cafe is perfect for a relaxed meal with family or friends.

The menu brims with tantalizing offerings that highlight the rich culinary heritage of the Foochow people. Among the café’s standout dishes, the deep-fried kompia at RM6 for five pieces has garnered rave reviews for its delightful crunch—the exterior is perfectly crisp while the interior melts comfortably in your mouth. Even if some find it slightly greasy, the overall experience is joyously satisfying.

Another customer favorite is the Ding Bian Hu, priced at RM7, which offers a comforting blend of textures and flavors. Patrons appreciate the ability to personalize their dish with pepper and soy sauce, creating a unique taste experience each time. However, many recommend arriving early, especially on weekends, as this dish is a popular choice and often runs out before 10 am.

The café also offers a range of hearty entrées, such as the prawn laksa, notable for its flavorful broth that sets the stage for a culinary dance of flavors when enhanced with sambal belacan and lime juice. Don't forget to try the various side dishes like kangkong and butter fish fillet, perfect for sharing and complementing your meal. One visitor, after dining with a group, celebrated their enjoyable evening meal, which included a delightful mix of drinks and dishes for a total of RM63—an excellent value for the quality provided!

The inviting ambiance and the speed at which certain dishes disappear, such as the fried “xiao mai” that surprised many diners with its ingenious flavor, truly illustrate the buzz around Xin Fu Zhou Cafe. While it may get lively, especially during peak hours, this only adds to the charm, making it a great spot for medium to large gatherings. The café also offers air-conditioned seating for a comfortable dining experience.

Whether you’re stopping by for a quick coffee break or savoring a complete meal, Xin Fu Zhou Cafe promises an engaging taste journey that leaves you wanting more. With every bite, you're not just enjoying a meal; you're partaking in a rich cultural experience made all the more enjoyable by friendly service and the warm atmosphere that welcomes you in. August 2023: Deep-fried kompia RM6 /5pcs is crunchy and melts in mouth, but obviously can taste quite greasy lah. Ding Bian Hu RM7 /normal is okay also, can add pepper and soy sauce yourself, got spring onion garnish got black fungus, no pickled vege but many other places also don't have.

One of the foochow kopitiam you can find in Sentosa area. Has plenty of stalls to choose from. You'll usually need to come early for the famous ding bian hu as it runs out pretty fast before 10am during weekends. Kampua was just normal and waiting time is quite long. Overall was satisfied with the food served and it's quality. Great for medium to large size gathering, there are air cond seatings as well.

This is the first time seeing Fried "xiao mai" (烧米). Amazingly good. The Kong Pia is the best in town, crispy outside and the inside is soft and tender. it's so tasty.

Satisfying breakfast although the coffee shop’s location is a little hidden. Google map never fails. Anyway we ordered the pork soup (minced meat cause not really in the mood for spareparts) and plain kampua noodles. Love the soup infused with chinese wine and ginger. The other menu was this unique ‘kompia burger’. It is filled with the typical kompia minced pork which is slightly sweet and fried egg. The bun itself is super crispy on the outside and yet still warm and fluffy on the inside. A must try. Kompia burger is RM11 for 3 pieces (set) while the kampua minced pork soup combo is RM8. I think this coffee shop is famous for its Ding Bian Hu. Might try that one next time.
